Poster on 247 is saying there are rumors about Mickey McCarty. I have absolutely nothing to back this up though, nor does this poster.

Would be a homerun hire imo. WM would be foolish not to at least offer him. I don't know if he'd accept it or not, but he'd be my pick.

As far as I know, he'll be back. But he strikes me as a guy who would go back to DC if they wanted to bring someone in. Just my opinion.

He'd jump on an offer in a heartbeat

Wouldn't be the first time we took someone from St. Fred's and I'd love to see my St. Fred friends get pissed again.

The guy took St Freds to the Dome his first year. Its St Freds for God sake. Anyone who does that should be at the top of the list.

St. Fred was a decent team that beat a few half-wit "select" schools.....so slow down on the Tannehil love

Mickey will talk to them but he is not leaving Neville for WM. He may for a big Texas job but not crossing the river. Jeff is not a candidate.

Just kidding!

Hey I'm happy for them. But that classification got a lot easier this year.

I bet he bails if he's not permanent head. He's earned it in my opinion and i think he'd see it as a slap in the face if asked to return to dc

I'd be shocked if it was anyone other than Arledge. Feels wrong to talk about at the moment to be honest.

You right about timing but program slipped under Arledge. Good coordinator, though.

I wouldn't say slipped. He wasn't really set up with a great situation. The schedule was much tougher than previous years. Also WM lost a TON of kids from the year before, pretty much the entire defense as well as the backfield. Other than Cam, only one player signed and that was with Arkansas-Monticello. Throw in the fact he lost his starting QB in week 7 and had a LB at the position the rest of the year, slip is a little harsh. I expect a bounce back year with a healthy Belton and much more experience on both sides.
