Game Trailer Animation to make Movies

I notice most of the "cinematic trailers" for games are better than most animation in some cartoon movies. Mostly because its CGI but why don't they start making movies like that? I watched the trailer for the game Batman:Arkham Knight and I'm just curious as to why no one could make a movie like that using those effects, it was badass.
Too expensive? I wouldn't think so considering many games have cinematic trailers now. The new Diablo III trailer is another example of how awesome the footage in their trailer is and I just don't know why people haven't gone this direction in making animated films
Don't really know if this belongs on the GB or Here, but its about making movies so I stuck it here.
Arkham Knight
Arkham Origins
Star Wars: The Old Republic

My guess is the file size for the trailers are huge and that's because they put a huge amount of time and detail in those trailers to entice people to buy the game..
If you made an entire full length film with the same quality it would be entirely too big of a file and it would take much much longer to make that film.
I'm sure it's a balancing act for animation studios, putting as little money and time into a film while trying to maximize quality for the 'wow' factor and to bring in the big bucks. They are worried about the bottom line above all I would think.

The last time a studio did that (Square) it bankrupted the company. That's why it's been Square-Enix since 2002.

Go look at how much the current animated films cost.
Toy Story 3 - $200mil
Cars - $200mil
Wall-E - $180mil
Tangled - $260mil
These films are expensive as frick to make.
