Will be in Vegas during March madness. Anybody have good suggestions for good sports books or experiences they've had betting on it?

I offer you nothing, except that I will be there for march madness and it is also the weekend that a lot of west coast schools have off for spring break

I'd suggest Caesar's. It's easy to place bets, the lines are never too long. Huge area, even though only OT ballers reserve the tables, they set up regular chairs in the back.

Are you going the first weekend?

Yep. Been there plenty of times, but never really frequented the books or bet on march madness. Looking forward to trying a few parlays and watching the games.

Caesars is a badass sports book. I would say go there.

Emeralds place is pretty cool but I don't know if you will even be able to get a spot there. Maybe call and ask. Good food cool sports atmosphere

I've heard it's a shite show for march madness, I've always gone for the conference tournaments.

Everyone says it is a shite show for March Madness, if you wanna get bets in you better do it the night before or show up around 7am from what I have heard. Many pros avoid it because of the sheer number of people that go.

I was there last year for the first weekend.
It got pretty rowdy when Fla Gulf Coast was beating Georgetown.

Are you asking me? I'm confused

Yeah it's a cool sports book. Was there for wildcard weekend a few years ago and it was crazy.

They all said first week of march madness is insane.

And yeah get your bets in the night before because it's gonna be slammed all day

That's what I'm afraid of. I'm more worried about placing the bet, as there are TVs everywhere.

Mirage moves people thru the window quick and has plenty of open windows. It was wall to wall last year and I could get down inside of 2 minutes.

Surprisingly the lvh has one of the best sports books in vegas, plus you don't have nearly the douchebagery that you do on the strip

LV Hilton is lower key and smaller than Caesar's, but can still be fun. It depends on the crowd.

The LVH is the largest in the world and all you have to do is bet 1 game to drink for free. If you want to avoid the lines download the William Hill app or any of the other 3 and bet from your phone as long as you're in Nevada. You can deposit and cash money at the window at the end of the night and do all your betting on your phone.

Games tip at 9:00am. If you want to get a seat without paying show up no later than 7:30am otherwise be prepared to stand. Also this lets you get your bets in before the first games start.

If you can bet the night before the games. Otherwise you might be shut out of the early games because of the long lines. I love seeing squares each year thinking they can show up at 8:55 and get bets in. Then they see the line 50 people deep and get their jimmies rustled.

LVH Superbook will have some live betting going on during the games. Not sure about the other places.

I go to the LVH for Madness, because of the live betting. It might have more undesirables there and more riff raff, plus the place smells like a public restroom and has ugly cocktail waitresses, but it has the best betting options, best lines and live betting.

Caesers and Bellagio suck. I hate those places especially during Madness. Too many $30k millionaires, and you will have to pay to sit because of how crowded it gets. Avoid those places.

I enjoy the conference tournaments(Championship Week) more than March Madness when it comes to betting. More games to bet and less riff raff.

Hard to beat the atmosphere of the first round of the NCAA tournament though. I had Norfolk State +26 a couple years ago and loved watching the people with the Missouri Chalk tickets have rustled jimmies

You'll get better odds off the strip at places like Aliante.

Enjoyed betting at Caesers. Of course, I have only gone during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Can find sportsbooks anywhere. I have never been to LVH, but I will be making it over the next time I go.
