Not sure how I feel about this. If they really knew the long term affects back in the day then yes. But I thought this was fairly new science. What say the OT?

Has any old players in college or NFL won suits that date back this far?

He must be blowing through some money. Wonder how much insurance money he's collected over the years from restaurant fires.

I guess the insurance companies have caught on to his game of burning down his restaurant every couple years so he needs to find a new scam to make a quick buck.

ETA: CT beat me

FWIW, he doesn't appear to be suing LSU.

Following the NFL's settlement in similar lawsuits, this is our always compassionate and altruistic plaintiff's bar's next "noble" crusade. Don't worry though, the NCAA, individual universities, and equipment manufacturers will settle and pass the costs on to you, the football fan.

He can't sue the NFL because he didn't join the class, so these are the only turnips left to him.

People have had terrible ailments from playing FB for over a century. Any idiot with two eyes and a brain can see that the game takes a toll.

I would be inclined to agree; however, tobacco companies are paying out billions because of similar "idiots".

Well, since he played football at Lee High, why doesn't he add the EBRPSB to that list?

Bunch of commenters in the Advocate story are stating they will never spend another dollar at his restaurant after this. I wonder if he will feel the backlash and/or even thought about that.

I'm pretty sure thats not true.

The NFL just has way more assets to fight cases at its disposal, the NFL would crush him.
