If we win out and get to the tourney final we might be one of the last in depending on other conference tourneys.

The teams that play hard and still want to play basketball when it comes to the NIT, helps them in the long run.
That having been said there are a lot of teams that do not want to be there at all, and do not show up, see Kentucky last year. Hope the Tigers bring it this year, because they could win it.
The NIT Final Four in MSG is still an awesome experience and venue.

I think making a deep NIT run with hosting a couple games in the PMAC will be fun as frick.
None of this will matter though when we win the SEC Tourney and earn an auto-bid. Amirite?
