About what percentage of members just never show up for a workout in a months time
it can be a pain in the arse to cancel a gym membership so there's always that excuse but I have to imagine gyms have more than half of its members paying month to month that simply never show up

probably more than half
but I wouldn't complain, those people keep the gym open and less crowded

Just giving you a hard time. I knew what you were trying to ask.
I went a total of 10 times the first gym membership I bought. Bought it on an impulse and regretted it instantly.

Those people, and the ones you never see again after spring break.

The week following New Year's, the week before Spring break, and the week before summer = Avoid the gym at all costs. The temps move in during those times

Worked at one for 2.5 years while an undergrad. I signed up people daily. You may see them for the rest of the work week, and then never again for most cases. A rolling average of the members to active users was close to 10-15%. Sad facts considering memberships are not cheap.

I have had a membership for 7 years. I have never gone during the summer. Maybe some people just have their own routines like that.
