New O-Care delay to help midterm Dems

You knew they were going to protect this shite show so brain dead people will vote for Dems.
The Obama administration is set to announce another major delay in implementing the Affordable Care Act, easing election pressure on Democrats.
As early as this week, according to two sources, the White House will announce a new directive allowing insurers to continue offering health plans that do not meet ObamaCare’s minimum coverage requirements.
Prolonging the “keep your plan” fix will avoid another wave of health policy cancellations otherwise expected this fall.
The cancellations would have created a firestorm for Democratic candidates in the last, crucial weeks before Election Day.

quote:Except it is likely many of these plans will be terminated by the companies anyway, in accordance with existing insurance business plans. Those individuals impacted will receive appropriate election market attention as harbingers of what is to come for the rest of the population. The drips and drabs may have seemed a good idea at some point. Now it will begin to take its toll.

How can they keep delaying and altering a law?

In my best Foghorn Leghorn mimicry. " I am shocked, I say shocked" at this road being taken by those in DC or should that be Disneyland the two get a bit blurry at times.

Companies have to make sure the employees know exactly what impact Obamacare will have on their insurance rates in October. A letter needs to be sent to every employee stating this is what is going to happen to your paycheck in Jan 2015 or Jan 2016 or whenever it is going to take effect.

I thought that insurance companies couldn't really do both at the original price. They geared their whole operation to comply with Obamacare.
This is like trying to turn a supertanker on a dime.

So in many ways it shapes up as a lose-lose precept for Obama.

This will help the Dems politically with stupid people though sadly many of their constituents apparently fall into this category. Anyone with half a brain can see that the fact they are having to force multiple changes and delays realize that Dems are trying to cover up this steaming pile of poo.

If the American people are stupid enough to re-elect these Democrats up for re-election, they deserve everything they get. It's not the people in Washington that scare me anymore. It's the people that want this shite show and believe the path they're being led down that blows my mind.
Re-elect No One in 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020. Maybe then the politicians will get the message that we want change we can believe in.

John Roberts should burn in hell for this.

While the executive branch doesn't have constitutional authority to change laws, I am glad to see Obama acknowledging that Ted Cruz was right.
Now if we could just get him to go through congress. I am sending this link to whitehouse.gov

At this rate, this law will never be fully enacted.

The insurance companies are the ones who would be hung out to dry by this. They are being asked to delay implementing changes that they know will be unpopular. The people who suffer from the changes will desire to hold someone accountable for the changes. By delaying it until after the election the Obama hopes to remove Democrats from the aim of disgruntled people and leave only the insurance companies in the line of fire.
Since only a foolishly run insurance company would decide to place targets on their chests, the Obama administration has to have more to hang its hat on than just blaming the insurance companies and saying, "we gave them a choice, and they put profits ahead of customers." What leverage will the Obama administration try to use to get the insurance companies to delay implementing the Obamacare requirements?

Roberts could have killed this fricking thing in its crib, and was poised to do it, until SOMETHING changed his mind. Unprecedented leaks from the SCOTUS (likely Scalia, because he was fricking pissed) are that Roberts was voting with what became the dissent until a few days before the decision came down, then flipped, which is why if you read the dissent, there are references that indicate that what became the majority opinion was originally the dissenting opinion.
So, yes, John Roberts can very well burn in Hell for this.
