Hustler, Gravely, Exmark, Skag, or Bad Boy?

I am currently looking at the Hustler 54" Fastrack Super Duty for $6800. I have a Hustler 48" Fastrack now and it's been great and they are also rated the best for the money but I just want to weigh all of my options before I buy.

I have never owned any of the other above mentioned mowers, but they all have good specs and reviews. I hate Toro equipment though and they make Exmark so that would be my last choice probably. Dixie Chopper and Grasshoper mowers are out due to price.

I have heard Snapper now makes one of the top of the line rated commercial ZTRs. Is this true?

Thoughts?

hustler

exmark has a great cut though.

IMO gravely are poor mowers

If I was going with a large zero turn like you are talking about, I would check out the Kubota line...

I also heard the Gravely ride rough but I just see them all over the place. I think that's mostly due to zero percent financing that they always seem to have though.

I looked at them today and the 54" was $10K+ after taxes. I was looking to stay around $7K or so.

Which one do you have?

Looking around it seems that outside of the Hustler the Bad Boy may have the most options for the money but I can't get past the gimmicky crap on them like the spoiler some of them have and chrome rims.

Ouch...they have apparently gone up a good bit...a friend of mine bought one several years back and it was about $7K....were you looking at the gasoline engine or the diesel?...

Scag is top of the line stuff. Worth the price, but honestly might be overkill unless you are doing commercial maintenance.

Hustler and Bad Boy get great reviews and would be what I would look at.

The ones I saw standing outside of Home Depot this morning would strongly disagree.

I am. I have other properties to maintain besides my own which is why I want a separate mower than the two I currently have.

I have two super z's, two scags: turf tiger and tiger cub, and a job deere. Also have demo'd exmarks, bad boys, gravely, and used a Kubota diesel for a couple months last year. Scag and hustler are the best in my opinion.

Damn, man. That's some serious coin.

Have you ever demoed the X-1 or X-ONEi? I thought about stepping up to one of them.
