i have a friend who is from a baltic state. she grew up there, came here for school after the great unpleasantness, and then moved back

she's usually politically moderate, but she posted this today on the book and it was somewhat of a shock-face scenario

No political moderate would share that, she is pro Russian. The Baltics are all NATO.

Kind of funny. But Obama won't even get involved against Putin. The American Death would even knock on the door

There is only one of those that we can claim ownership of, Iraq. Serbia occurred with sight of the European nations with nothing but sitting on their asses as a response by them. Libya and Syria was internal squabbles over who shall rule over the masses in the country. Only Russia has had very much to say about it as it told the world not to get involved while they have shipped arms aid to the regime.

yea pretty much. Americans are loved by Croatians and Bosnians for the most part. Serbs not so much but even non radical Serbs moved to the states during the war.

Well, since Serbia is not a Baltic country, I never thought she might be.

There aren't any pro-Russian baltic people. Your friend is ethnic Russian. Estonians, Latvians, and Lithuanians love the U.S. I was there in the summer of '92, not long after they had gotten their independence, and they were the most pro-American people in Europe by a mile.

A Serbian person is pro Russian? You don't say. Ask a Bosnian or a Croat you might get a different answer.

That explains why posters were mentioning "pro-Serb." I though they were just referencing your OP cartoon where Serbia is mentioned.

Now that I understand what you meant, Serbia is butt-hutt because we led NATO in bombing them into submission in the late '90's and early 2000's. It's probably justifiable butt hurt.

My Serbian friends I made when I worked in Belgrade have reminded me several times about how we supported the "Muslims" in the Balkans only to be attacked on our soil by Muslims.

It's a f*cked up world sometimes....

ETA: After your title edit, you still have "Baltic" in the body of your OP text.

If you met a Bosnian Muslim you honestly wouldn't even know it. Unless they told you

Oh, I know. I also worked in Zagreb, Croatia, Sarajevo and Banja Luka (capital of Republic of Srbska, Bosnia/Herzegovina) and I couldn't tell the Serbs, Croats and Bosnian Muslims apart unless a Croat or Serb was wearing a cross around their neck.

I had to be very careful what I said until I learned their ethnic background.
