on our 16 flat with a 40 yammy we'd make freakin great mileage. at least double what you're needing.

You'll have that easy. I used to have a Yamaha 60, 2 stroke, on a 15' aluminum bass boat. I always used 6mpg as my judgement factor, but in reality it got closer to 8mpg.

I would just drop an extra fuel tank in the boat for the trip just to make sure...you can get one relatively inexpensively and you won't have to be worrying...

With a 9 gallon tank you will be fine. I sometimes run that distance on a Yamaha 50 hp 2 stroke, with a 6 gallon tank, but I bring an extra 3 gallon tank just in case. Switched tanks twice but never came close to draining both tanks. You'll be fine with 9.

Dude...you got this. I go 45 mile round trip on a 90 hp Evinrude on a 18 fiberglass boat for 9 gallons.

Just bring an extra tank with you.

2 stroke or 4?

I have a 4 stroke 115 and the gas mileage is incredible.
