Does this account for stadium club seating, which has most of the amenities of a suite?

The New Seating Chart which is still in the Shadowns shows 70 New Suites which would put LSU with 140 after the Expansion. I guess some day the New Seating Chart will come out of the Shadows.

No, because I got beat down by how hard it was to answer the simple question "How many suites" at such and such stadium. Some of the websites are garbage for that.

If I get the info, I'll put it in.

Any Tigah fans know how many club seats there are atm? I know the SEZ will add another 3,000.

Edit, nm, it's 3,200 club seats.

That's an increase from the original announcement of 65...

quote:

Tiger Athletic Foundation President and Chief Executive Officer Ron Richard said construction will begin this fall with work wrapping up in time for the 2014 football season.

The improvements focus on the south end zone of Tiger Stadium, where 65 suites over two levels, 3,000 stadium club seats, 1,500 upper deck seats and additional standing room only space will be added.

Richard said the project will increase the stadium’s seating capacity from 92,000 to 100,000.

from a practical standpoint, suites are the way to go for a university...more money from fewer people...

sucks for the rest of us, though...

Mizzou has an innovative approach: Their "loge" seats are armchairs with mini fridges next to them. In an open club-like space separate from the true club. It's a hybrid seat. And you can move your seats around, too.

Located on the fifth floor of Memorial Stadium, the 60 loge seats are one of the premier premium seating options in the SEC.

Wouldn't mind seeing this in Tiger Stadium!

Ain't it? Those windows open up, too. So you can hear the crowd noise.

Have there been any renderings released showing how the new SEZ club will look? I imagine the new suites will look essentially the same as current suites, but the club will have to be a bit different than what's in the west upper.

To my knowledge, none. I think LSU has been really coy with details on this for a purpose. Someone in the AD apparently got the idea that we like surprises.

It sure seems that way. But what about the folks that ponied up a bunch of cash for these premium seats? You'd think they would get something other than "thanks for the money, you'll get to see what it will look like in 2 years."

So true. I asked TAF what it would look like when they were recruiting me to purchase club seats in the new SEZ. All they told me is that it would look like the West side stadium club, and they sent me a food menu from a game the previous season.

No artist renderings, floor plan, etc. I bought it on the assumption that if they are charging that amount of money it has to be nice...fingers crossed!

Wow. I'm almost embarrassed for them, because that is as piss-poor a job of marketing as I have ever heard of.

But apparently, they know our fan base well enough to know that they don't need a marketing strategy.

Or so it seems.

The only verbal info I received is what is listed on preserve death valley.org.

I think they knew demand was there and people knew about the west side, so they based it off that to save money.

When they built the west side club, the marketing website was thorough. We as fans did not know the details back then. It had video and interior pics.

Exactly why I am so shocked at the dearth of info this time around. It's like "You want, here it is, come and get it!"
