With the start of spring training, it's time for the bold prediction thread.

Give a bold fantasy prediction at each position

C- Yan Gomes finishes as one of the top 3 catchers in 2014.

75 R/ 24 HR/ 80 RBI

1B- Paul Goldschmidt fails to reach 30 HR or steals the bases he did last season and falls outside the top 10 1B

2B- Aaron Hill has a reclamation year and hits 30 HRs

3B- Matt Dominguez leads all NL 3B in HRs.

SS- Starlin Castro takes an Ian Desmond like jump goes 20/20

OF- Mark Trumbo leads all of baseball in HRs with 44

OF- Ryan Braun fails to hit 20 HR

OF- Desmond Jennings finally becomes a top 10 OF in fantasy

SP- Chris Archer wins 20 games, Ks 200, and wins AL Cy

SP- Past greats CC, Verlander, begin their career decline, fall outside top 30 SPs.

SP- Sophomore slump-Michael Wacha, Gerrit Cole, Sonny Gray aren't who we thought they were this soon. All struggle and face inflated +4 ERAs and sub 8 K/9

RP- Carlos Marmol ends up saving 25 games for the Marlins

Thoughts?

Good

C- Joe Mauer has hit 24 HRs TOTAL over the last 3 years. With a move to 1st base, and fresh legs, he matches that total this year.

1B- Matt Adams leads the NL in HRs with 43.

2B- Chase Utley returns to top form. HE is your #1 rated 2B at the end of the year.

SS- Jordy Mercer hits 20 HR and drives in 75

3B- Manny Machado hits 35 HR. 2nd in AL MVP voting.

OF- Jacoby Ellsbury goes 30/30

OF- Wil Myers will be a top 20 pick by 2015

OF- Nate Schierholz hits 30

SP- Tony Cingrani leads the NL in strikeouts. Wins 18 games.

SP- Josh Johnson rebounds, top 3 Cy young finisher in NL

SP- Alex Wood is the best SP on the braves

Bad

C- Evan Gattis struggles to hold a big league job. Gets sent to minors.

1B-Brandon Moss, who are you trying to kid? You wont sniff 30 HRs again. Shoot for 15.

2B- Cano is still viable, but he slips some. His laziness wont transfer well with his huge contract. Pressure gets to him.

SS- Starlin Castro doesn't get any better. Cubs end up trading him.

3B- Josh Donaldson has an OPS less than .700

OF- Mike Trout gets busted for PEDs.

OF- Puig struggles to hit .270

OF- Billy Hamilton only steals 25 bags. Back and forth to the minors.

SP- RA Dickey continues to prove he is more of a 4.40ERA pitcher than cy young

SP- Tim Lincecum is finally relegated to the bullpen

SP- Kevin Gausman's ERA hovers around 5.00 again. Get's sent back down. Flat stuff

Damn, I wish I participated in this thread. Would have whiffed on my favorite second basemen in Kelly Johnson and Aaron Hill.

I had Carlos Gomez officially entering the fantasy elites among the masses and going as a top 5 or so pick in 2015. I guess that's a hit, but not really bold.

Hard to call Lou's prediction on Medlen a whiff. Is N/A less than 2.75?
