Spain vs. Italy in the Vicente Calderón

Diego Costa, Thiago and Azpilicueta are added. Arbeloa, Torres and Villa, miss the cut.

Costa debuts for La Roja in Atléti´s stadium.

England called up four keepers for the match against Denmark (Hart, Foster, Ruddy, and Forster). Their GK coach has worked at club level with three of them. Forster seems to be, disappointingly, the odd man out at the moment.

I think its Ruddy vs Foster for the last place at the WC, there is no reason for Forster not to get in right after nearly setting a GB record for longest time without conceeding.

I would love Henderson to start, perfect for the more attacking role of a midfield 3 with Gerrard and Carrick. He's beating out Wilshere, BArkely etc with his form atm.

Is Brazil even going to budge and let Costa play for Spain in the WC?

Prandelli will announce the Italian team this sunday.

I was hoping he'd lean more heavily on some of the younger backups like Verratti and younger attacking talent that have a outside chance to make the squad like Florenzi, Destro, Immobile, Gabbiadini, Insigne, Berardi, Jorginho but after seeing Del Bosque's team I doubt there'll be more than a couple of those.

Guessing Prandelli will use this friendly to judge a lot of players on the fringes of the WC roster and then give some of the young guys he called some time.

De Rossi and Balotelli aren't going to be there and Pirlo and Chiellini probably won't start or play much.

I'd guess Italy will start some second rate lineup like this:

Osvaldo
Cerci - Candreva
Montolivo - Motta - Marchisio
Criscito - Barzagli - Astori - Maggio
Buffon or Sirigu

He simply cares too deeply.

However this particular "punch" was really weak sauce. He usually goes for one a season that totally deserves a suspension. More than half the players in Real Atletico match did something a lot worse than this particular little nudge on Icardi.

In fact, this is the first one I recall where Roma has made an official protest.

If Juve were about 3 more points clear for the Scudetto he wouldn't have been suspended.
