Help creating a very high quality .pdf

I have an Excel file that I am using to create .pdf price sheets from. These will contain hyperlinks in certain cell.
The problem I'm having is that the cells have borders that are 1 px. in width, but when I publish, these suddenly get much thicker.
I have tried using .pdf maker that comes with Windows/Office and I've tried Acrobat Pro, but maybe didn't know what settings to use.
Anyone know how to do this?

We use CutePDF Writer at our office. Its nothing fancy, but its a free download and it produces a nice .pdf copy

quote:What happens when you print the file out? If you get the thicker borders there, it is something in your print settings that carry over to the PDF distillation.

bluebeam is a really nice pdf program, but it's not free
try going to your pdf printer settings and making sure the "dpi" is high, at least 300. i find 400 works well with not too large of a file size, and 600 looks nice but the files start to get big.

I haven't had this problem using the convert tool in Excel with my version of Acrobat Pro. Not sure what you are attempting to convert, but I wouldn't mind trying for you if absolutely need be. Reply if needed and I'll post an email address.

HA! Got it!
Okay, for anyone that cares to know, the trick is to select a line style that is the thinnest little line of dots. When you print to .pdf, it comes out as a very THIN line, which is what I wanted.
Thanks to Google and some diligent searching and thanks to NameWithheld for his efforts!
