Who's going to sign it?

You literally cannot be handed more chances to succeed than he has and still suck. He has got to go.

most are in agreement on this...there are a lot of threads on the topic.

...honestly, I don't think it's happening regardless of what happens for the rest of this season...I think it's just time to accept it and move on.

I really don't like Monty, but this team (when healthy) can make the playoffs under him, imo.

The only petition that matters is ticket renewals. If you don't renew, make sure your ticket rep knows why.

Hold on there motivator, we need to see who is available to replace him before we toss him.

Bring back Mike Malone and call it a day. Any success Monty has had here, he owes to him anyway.

I'm off the Karl bandwagon, just think he's too old and AD needs as much stability as possible here. Malone or Shaka.

You keep saying this. Do you not realize he's in the first year of his contract as Sacramento's head coach?

George Karl would be awesome...he's the popular choice as a replacement, and I really think he fits. The roster is perfect for him...The offense with Karl at coach

...right now, we have an offensive-minded, young roster (when healthy) with a defensive coach that doesn't like to push the pace...makes no sense to me...Monty and Dell not on same page? Hopefully Dell sees this and brings in someone new.

Why the contract extension though? It's hard for me to believe that he gets fired after the extension, because we're losing with all these injuries.

Well I have never had season tickets, and will never think about getting any until Tavares gets processed.

Timing. Monty and Demps were both familiar, respected around the league at the time and fit the Saints culture. It was probably easier to offer them extensions than have some football guys figure out which basketball guys to hire. Especially with as thin as the HC and GM pools are.

I'm definitely concerned about Avery's closeness to the organization. If you want a front office figurehead and consulting role, great, but anything else please no. Although at this point Monty's decisions have gotten so obviously bad, I'm not entirely sure anyone else could be worse.

This is a good strategy. I think there are better ones overall, but this may be the strongest for getting this message to the team loud and clear.

Yes I do realize this but I can't help but think he sees more a future here than there.

You don't have to yell

not me...He's 62...Poppovich, Adelman, and D'Antoni are older...57-25 starting:

Lawson
Iguodala
Gallinari
Faried
Mosgov

...1st in the league in PPG...would be a dream come true.

I keep seeing this...would Avery Johnson be so bad? I'm honestly asking, as I don't know anything about the guy...The popular opinion on here is that he would be a disaster though.

I wasn't yelling, I just wasn't sure if you knew. I'd have said something sooner but didn't want to ruin your day.

Curious. What are they saying about Monty on the other site you post on?

I would rather roll the dice with an unknown than continue gambling with a dice that I know is defective. Any coach would be an improvement over monty (even if it is avery but please God not him).

you mean 4 essentially completely different teams? i don't know that any other team in the NBA has had the turnover we've had in the past few years. Jason Smith is our longest tenured player at like 3 or 4 seasons now, and he hasn't even played a full season yet.

FWIW, i think it's time for a change at head coach. but it has nothing to do with being "handed more chances to succeed"

completely serious question here…what would be some other strategies?

i think one positive about a new head coach in the offseason would be to create new buzz around the team. basically, a rebranding of a rebranding. someone posted back a few months ago how rebranded teams never do well in their first season. i can't remember what happens in the second to the majority, but i think it was positive.
