What's the point in investing PS4 services when there won't be a ps5

I have been on the fence about what next Gen to get and with Sony's imminent collapse, I don't see the point investing in their services (movies, games, etc.). Consoles are more than just playing games, it's also about the services they provide. If I wanted to just play games I would get a PC and get steam.
Anyone else worried about this?

I can honestly see the concern. No troll here.
Although it wouldn't be a complete shutdown but if Sony has to start selling off assets soon due to say a court ordered or voluntary Bankruptcy then you do run the risk of not knowing who could pick up the PS division and how they would control it.

Sony motion pictures brah.
And on that mindset, why invest in a Xbox one that is $100 more, has services that can't be accessed without a monthly gold subscription, is backed by a company that has flip flopped its core goals on the machine, isn't dedicated to a video game focus only, and has internal components that lack in power when compared to ps4?????????????

But worrying about the PS5 would not be high on my list of concerns if I really felt this was a possibility. I honestly couldn't see the PSN services completely shutting down. They finally started charging people so you don't have to worry about that anymore.

Is also losing money

For the six month period the Pictures division scored a 14% revenue drop in constant currency terms. It saw net income of JPY3 billion replaced by an operating loss of JPY14 billion ($138 million). In the first quarter Pictures scored a $41 million operating profit. In the second a $181 million loss.

Playstation isn't going anywhere period. Like I said, at worse it will be sold off to the highest bidder during bankruptcy or liquidation. Like when THQ went under last year for example. All of their IPs were split off and sold to repay it's debts.
The concern should be who takes it over and how would they handle it going forward. Not if it will still be here.

I missed the part where MS reported a billion $ loss

No it doesn't actually.
MS isn't in danger of going under and hasn't posted billions in losses for 5 of the last 6 years. There is a huge difference. I would say the risk is more real for the Playstation brand to be owned by someone else one day than it is for the Xbox to be. If I were a betting man that is.

There's plenty of companies you invest in everyday that are suffering losses financially. Probably the majority. Hell you live in the US. Check out our financial debt.

None of those nor the US have anything to do with Sony though so I don't see your point.

What? No it doesn't?
How did you miss this news?
Investors get what they want, MS is facing decling numbers across the board and just appointed a new CEO who the investors want to drop Xbox, Surface, and Bing.
If the PlayStation ever goes, Xbox goes with it.
Just how it is. Much riskier to buy the Xbox brand right now.

No, I got the point. I was pointing out that, as usual, it wasnt a very good point bc it oozed of your ps fanboiness
You really think Xbox is in as big a danger of going as PS? Well....ok
