Is there an unhealthier segment of the population than this group?

High blood pressure, diabetes, etc....

You can roll your eyes all you want, but if you look at STD rates among homosexuals, provided by the CDC, a case can certainly be made. It may not be politically correct to say, but the numbers don't lie.

Being gay doesn't make you less healthy. Being gay and having sex with hundreds of men makes you more likely to be less healthy. Everyone knows that.

However you look at it, the stats really are mind boggling.

From the CDC:
quote:

Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM))a represent approximately 2% of the United States population, yet are the population most severely affected by HIV. In 2010, young MSM (aged 13-24 years) accounted for 72% of new HIV infections among all persons aged 13 to 24, and 30% of new infections among all MSM. At the end of 2010, an estimated 489,121 (56%) persons living with an HIV diagnosis in the United States were MSM or MSM-IDU.

And no, I'm not anti-gay, or religious in anyway. I have gay friends, and their lifestyle doesn't affect me whatsoever. Good for them if they're happy.

Being gay in Uganda isn't good for your health.
