Mechanic in Houston?? Need recommendation

Just moved here and was wondering if anyone had a mechanic that they trust in the area.

I know a trustworthy place but it's in Clear Lake.

Bellaire Tire & Auto is where we take all of our work/personal vehicles. They do good work, but its 10-15 mins from downtown.

This was about 10 years ago but River Oaks Automotive on Alabama. They were reasonable and did good work. But again, that was years ago.

Ask for Bobby. If he's busy ask for John. Great group of guys and they're not cheats. I've taken my stuff to them for the last two years. Highly recommend (and no, I'm not affiliated with them in any way but only a loyal customer).

When I had my (God-forbid) 3-series BMW and my (Holy crap not car this too!) Porsche Boxster, I used Texas German Autohaus over in the Greenway Plaza area. Their customer service was absolutely awesome and I highly recommend them depending on what your needs are!
