In a related report by The Inquisitr, it was rumored that the AC 5 location could be set in either feudal Japan or ancient Egypt. But then one of the main writers for the series revealed the hints mentioned in AC 4 were all false leads intended to mess with gamers’ heads.

Well played.

I am already intrigued. I like where this is headed if true.

One guy already shot down Japan. I think Egypt is happening but not this year. With all the sudden talk I'm thinking an announcement may be coming but it seems soon.

I can dig that. Japan is too ninja I would think. The association would be there anyway.

Was AC4 any good?

I'm still pretty upset about AC3.

good point.

This game gets really interesting when they tie it into real historical events. If thats the case there are several theaters they can and will eventually explore.

Yep. The fact that it was so different from AC3 revived the franchise.

As long as the cities have wooden wagons filled with hay, I have no problem with this.

I don't think they will go that modern to have sky scrapers in ac. They have made a point of saying they won't go too modern, invoke modern guns, etc...

I hated AC3 but I am loving AC4. I put it off because people kept telling me that there was a lot of ship battling and I thought I would hate that, it might be the best part of the game. Not sure about the story, the others seemed to have more story direction than this one, it seems to be more related to pirates fighting back against British oppression than it does Assassins versus templars for what I have seen so far in the first 2/3rds.

AC4 is so good, I might drop back and try to play AC3 again when I finish it.

I dont know, but revolutions seem to work for this franchise because of the assassin v templar story.

That'd be interesting but does this mean that the assasins lose or are the assasins communists

Either way that could be awesome. Start out fighting the Germans only to return home and fight the revolution. I kinda wanted a Civil War one but they'd end up making me kill Southerners so a Russian one could be great. Still need to play AC4.

AC4 has a long story and and about twice as much shite to collect and places to explore. It will keep you busy for some time.
