Long but good story (from May 2013) which also mentions his Dad, who was a QB at La Tech.

I don't know if you're kidding or not, but that isn't true. Phil Robertson is about 66 years old, and Kramer's father, Randy, is about 60 (based on the date in the article).

Nice read. 5'10" that throws 90 and dunks! I love his energy, and he's obviously more athletic than his size might indicate. Time will tell, but I think he will find ways to get more playing time.

Looking to next year - If Hale is "one and done", then Robertson has the 2nd base job. If Hale returns, would Hale or Robertson be candidates for 3rd base? If Robertson throws 90, he's not quite Tyler Hanover, but certainly strong enough to play 3rd.

PM was high on Robertson all through fall ball but he wants him to earn his way into lineup. He's one of those players that always seems to be in the middle of everything. Granted, he's done it against two teams Grambling and Toledo that are not very good. Temper things down a little until we see how he handles SEC pitching.

My guess is McMullen in RF is freeing DH up for Hale and Robertson will be at 2nd with Hale continuing to get some time there as well. Foster will still get time to - he hit too good last year against SEC pitching not to get a chance.

Zardon will likely get 3rd next year. Hale could also be at first.

All I said was that I thought he might get more playing time. I suppose you could say the same thing about all of the new guys up to now. In fact, just about every year we are reminding ourselves that we won't know about our guys until we reach conference play. When we play almost all of our out of conference games at home, and usually against inferior competition, we will often be guilty of getting ahead of ourselves.

Some of these new guys are not going to be prepared for what they'll face in Nashville, but then again several of them won't see much action.

I believe his father went on to start for La Tech and was quite impressive. Native of north LA, signed out of Broadmoor in Baton Rouge where he was a wide out due to existing Q.B situation, if not for that would have gone Div. 1 as a QB. He was the best QB on the team loaded with college players.
