In downtown Houston for weekend, haven't been here in about 6-7 years. Any good street of bars here? Was last minute to meet some friends, guys in age range of 26-32. Don't mind taking cabs.

Besides hookers and blow.

Washington has a decent stretch of bars. Midtown around smith street has a couple as well.

Go right next door to midtown for a good time. Could take a cab easy or possibly walk.

Cab to Midtown, Washington or Upper Kirby. Downtown is largely a ghost town after work hours and on the weekends. Midtown is closest

You can stay at four-seasons and there are some restaurants across the street and a couple of bars in walking distance. Place shuts down at night and I never liked wandering around late there. I was a field engineer on one of the high-rises there for a while.

Where are you staying?

For bars...Market Square and Main Street between Congress and Preston have a bunch of bars. Captain Foxhearts, OKRA, Little Dipper, Hearsay, Pastry War, etc.

If you want more of the loud music/bar scene...catch a cab to midtown and go to Dogwood, Drinkery, Pub Fiction Celtic Gardens.

I'm guessing you haven't been in north downtown on a weekend night lately?

Think its Dallas/Mckinley cross streets, friend is working here for month and hotel he is at.

Looks like midtown is the best bet?

Dallas and McKinney run parallel, so...I'm going to guess you're at the Doubletree, Hyatt or Residents Inn.

Yea, just cab it to midtown. If you're looking to get drunk and pickup sluts, that's your best bet.

Bad news bar is a decent bar downtown. But yeah, midtown and Washington ave is cool. Lukes ice house is happening right now. Im the guy alone in the corner posting on TD.

Also Flying saucer isnt a bad bar if you are forced to stay downtown.

Go to midtown. Dogwood and gaslamp are the bars to visit and maybe 3rd floor....all side by side.
