Edit: I had Dufner in a "popping through the pizza box" (right above the pizza slice) scenario using the peen from the 6-foot peen costume guy but it came across as too real and I didn't want to risk getting banned.
Anyone want to try a pixelated version of the idea, feel free to give it a go.

I am still having a very hard time trying to color the skin properly.
I've played around with hue, saturation, brightness, etc., etc., etc., all to no avail.
Could anyone suggest a good tutorial or video on changing the shade of the skin?

Try brightness/contrast first. Try to get the light looking right. These photos have little or no shadows and were shot with lights or one hell of a flash!
It's tough to match sometimes. I had a version of this today with Reuben Foster sleeping on the couch behind her and Butters the Pug in the foreground - my best effort looked fake as hell so I didn't post. TPT can tell you better though :)
