5x5 standard roto
7 keepers (5yr, 3 3 yr, 3 1 year keepers)
So its the first year keeping 7 and all contracts start this year and you can't cancel contracts.
Bryce harper 5
Cargo 3
Kershaw 3
Stanton 3
Strasburg 1
Fielder 1
Zimmerman, Mauer, or Gerrit cole for the last one

Also I have a trade offer straight up Tulo for Stanton. I'm really high on Stantons upside but im reluctant to keep 3 OFs (Start 5 of). Should i make the trade?

I'm not really crazy about keeping Cole for my seventh keeper also, with 2 aces i feel like i could use the spot for hitting.

TIA

1. I would do the trade. Tulo plays at a more premium position. OF's are all over the place to be had.

2. That last keeper decision is tough. I'd pick between Mauer and Zimmerman, with a slight lean to Mauer since he hits for such a high average.

If you're starting 5 OF'er, keeping 3 shouldn't really play much a factor. If you like Stanton better, don't make the trade. Being that your last keeper is only on a 1 year, I'd probably keep Zimmerman. Hell package Zimmerman/Cole together and you might get a better tier hitter. Cole is getting a lot of preseason hype which should help your cause.

I offered another guy mauer and cole for hanley. With these keepers I'm going all in for a ring this year. We have a MI flex in this league and my MI has been terrible since i won 3 years ago. I really do believe that Stanton will pace the NL with hrs this year which is why i am leaning to keep him

Personally I'd keep Stanton as well. One is 24 years old being kept for the next 3 years as opposed to the soon be 30 year old with a long history of being hurt. I like my 3 year outlook with Stanton better(even though he has been hurt himself).

How many teams in this format?

Might want to factor in who your SS would be if you didnt do the trade.

I'd rather keep Tulo and draft someone like Dominic Brown than keep Stanton and have Alexei Ramirez as my SS.

Looking at his keeper set, it looks like a shallow league. With only 7 keepers being kept, he shouldn't have an issue landing a quality shortshop.

the top 3-4 teams have a lot of talent in keepers. For ss I would probably target everth cabrera or alexei. I think castro could come out of the gutter for a decent season but I wouldn't pay for him with a top 150 pick.

I would keep Mauer simply because this is the last season he will have C/1B eligibility and also because he is almost a lock to hit .300 and hey who knows not having to catch games could potentially lead to some of his power coming back.

Cole is a great prospect with a high upside, but if this is strictly a one year contract I wouldn't keep him seeing as you already have Kershaw and Strasburg.

As for the trade, I would move Stanton. Stanton is a beast with ridiculous potential but Tulo is still the premier player even with injury concerns. Stanton is not going to have many RBI opportunities outside of his homeruns and in that lineup I would say his potential to score runs is also hampered. Really the only way I would keep Stanton is if there were a strong possibility that he would be traded in the immediate future .
