Looking for Male Golden Retriver Puppy

Hey Guys, i'm looking for a male golden retriever puppy in the next week or two. The dog will be a family pet and not used for hunting or anything like that. I am seeing a place out of Amite called Puppies in Louisiana that have pups for around $950 and then places like Hunnington Farms ($1800 range) and then a breeder out of St Bernard (can't locate name right now) that is charging in the $1500 range.
Anyone have input on these breeders or suggestions on other breeders. Would like to keep price below $900 as the dog will not be used for hunting and don't need a champion bloodline. I'm in New Orlenas and would like to find somehting relatively close as well.

I have two male goldens. Look around in the paper/craigslist. If you don't care about bloodlines you can find a great golden for much less that $900. I paid around $250 for both of mine.

We got a golden doodle from Huntington and were very pleased with the condition of the facility, treatment of the animals, and now our dog who is 6 months.

I have a Golden Retriever Male puppy available. Both parents have all health clearances, and the puppy is sold with a contract and health guarantee. The sire is a champion, obedience trial champion and master hunter. I am in Kentucky, but will be traveling to New Orleans next weekend. Feel free to e-mail me at spencerrob@aol.com. We sold every pup in the litter for $1,000.00, however we took a $300 deposit on this guy and the buyers backed out. I'd be willing to sell him for $700.

my golden from Hunnington was hands down the finest canine I have ever owned. He died at 12 last thanksgiving.

I had a Golden form Huntington die last year as well. The finest beast to ever walk on four legs. I miss him every day.
I will never have another dog from Huntingon though. TERRIBLE health problems. Terrible hips, eyes, allergies.
