Doing some side work and I have a guy who wants me to load both xp and 7 on an SSD. Any tips. I am thinking with both sata, new boards and the fact that its an SSD I am not going to have a good time.

Why does your buddy want XP on an SSD?

Pardon my ignorance, I know a little, build computers every now and then, but software is not my forte.

Reason he needs xp is some ancient software that barely runs on xp and doesn't work on 7 in xp mode.

Might want to consider it, in the long run it would probably be easier to just set up an XP virtual machine that can run within Windows 7. Check out Virtual Box

Don't know if it's worth your time to research that as opposed to a dual boot, but it might be easier for him to just fire up the VM when he needs to get into that app.
