Adolfo's: heard a rumor it is closing???

Anyone know if this is truth or not? A friend told me recently that they are shutting down. Something about the building, and they aren't moving anywhere to his knowledge. I have seen nothing of this anywhere, so I hope this is untrue. This is my favorite spot (that I unfortunately haven't been to in a while).

It's so damn small and old, I would have to guess someone is going to renovate the whole thing, upstairs and downstairs if Adolfo's is leaving.

Agreed. Has a great Old Time New Orleans feel to it. I'm guessing this is strictly rumor though. I'm trying to plan a new trip down there soon, so I will ask when I am there. Keeping my fingers crossed

Back in the late 80's it was called Alberto's and it was great. GF and I used to go at least once per week and would often entertain client there. Alberto would usually sit down with us as we finished one of his wonderful meals.
