Any TD members ever written a book?

Or been close to someone writing one? Im speaking of the personal type. Borderline biography. Im no one special as y'all know! Just one of those "I have a helluva story to tell". And the chapters keep rolling in as the years roll on. I've thought about it off and on for a few years now but im kinda intimidated by the process and what it would take for BayouFann's thoughts and story to get published. I know I can research the process but I would like to get some personal word on this.

I'm in the process of writing a children's book. Looking for illustrators now.
You'll have to call up publishers and set up meetings, or you can look into online publishing on the kindle through amazon.

I've been published several times, but not yet finished my book.
My advice: set a certain amount of time a day to writing or a certain amount of words (you'd be surprised at how easy writing 500 words a day is, and how quickly it adds up).
Once you get your format, then take it to a publisher. You can't go to some dude and say, "hey! I've led an awesome life and you should publish my book".
Create an outline first, then fill in the gaps.

Only 1 out of 150 submitted manuscripts ever get published, so your best bet is self-publishing on Amazon or Smashwords.
Also, the average American no longer reads books. Pretty much the only remaining readers these days are little old ladies on the subway and penitentiary inmates/psych patients, and therefore erotica and horror are likely the only two fiction genres that are likely to sell.

Why would I publish a playbook? Believe me I've only seen me come up with some of my concepts but football is not that great of a bestseller.

Have a few I wrote. Mostly in the small press circle, but they are in bookstores throughout depending on the publisher selling them. Myself and another fellow TD'er have written two novels and have an agent currently selling their rights to the big houses.
I dabbled a little in self publishing to see if it was for me but it is a ton of work. So not for me. Haha
Mostly horror/thriller. I've been doing a series of campy novels with a friend for a while now, and it's fun.
Always great to have a creative outlet. I encourage everyone to find something artistic to do and have fun with it.
