Just spreading the word. Was a Top 40 station that made the switch today. The genre has its haters, but there should always be a place for 90's-2000's rock on the radio.

true, but i just read the article on it. they've been planning this since 92.3 went off the air, so they jumped on it while they could before someone else did. They said they're gonna hire local DJ's.

A blistering, pulsating, paint-peeling* 250 watts from on top of One Shell. (*thank you, JR Gach)

Not gonna make the hop up here.

This is an OT question but your map made me think of it:

how come no one on here ever talks about Lacombe?

IDK anyone at clear channel, but i read the interview with the station manager and he said they're hiring local talent in the future.

I just want to hear more than the same ole same ole.

They're bands that got ZERO play on 92.3 and were hot shite all around the country.

Hell i remember hearing the Black Keys for the first time on 92.3 and thought "Wow a win for the good guys"!

Give it a listen for a couple hours, they have a huge mix of rock from the 80s til today, its surprising so far how good it is.

This is good to hear! I'm in NOLA for work and did not know what to listen to without 92.3.
