So I saw this last night with the wife. I liked it. I love the original and I enjoyed this one as well. They had a lot of nods to the original in a wink wink nod nod sort of fashion and for those complaining about the color of the suit....well you gotta see the movie to understand how it may or may not come back.

Seems they were going for a more straight up action flick to match today's generation of video gamers. The original was more of a satire on society this was again to me just a straight up action flick.

7/10 rating for me.

exactly.

And frick anyone that remakes a paul verhoven. the original was badass. No need to remake. I heard they are remaking starship troopers. WHY? the film is perfect. It cannot be improved on, and needs no homage.

I give them credit for the support casting, but I feel it is for a new generation.

Didn't we already see a perfectly good Robo-Cop movie starring Peter Weller?

(I remain firmly against most remakes/reboots and, frankly, sequels. It's lazy. Yeah, yeah, Ace is old, I get it, and blah, blah...)

That line and some others came across as forced. I also felt the story took a while to get going. Good popcorn flick overall. The original was better.

A remake could only be better than or equal to the original. They'd be hard pressed to make it worse.

I don't like you. You aren't right in the head.
