For Blake Dean, the decision was easy.

He knew professional baseball wasn't for him three years after the Los Angeles Dodgers drafted him in the eighth round in 2010 following his illustrious LSU career. So now after returning to LSU and completing a sports administration degree in 2013, Dean has found his next destination - a volunteer assistant coach at UNO.

What is there to hate about UNO? And what makes you say he could've gone some place better?

Wasn't he a volunteer assistant here last year? You would think he could get a paid gig somewhere at a lower D1 or even D2 school somewhere.

No, he was a student coach. He graduated in December so he could not continue in that role.

Glad he can help UNO. Much rather see him assisting them than Florida or Vandy.

Lolwut? UNO is D1

Eta: maybe you're saying he should get paid somewhere else instead of volunteering at uno. Regardless still nothing wrong with a D1 gig.

I accidentally gave you an upvote instead of a downvote. Wanted to downvoate you mostly because of using "of" when it is "have" like other have mentioned. Plus, why would you hate UNO? What could they have possibly done to you?

Dean has to take his opportunities as he gets them.

Why wouldn't LSU give him a chance at a similar position?

Eta: forgot about Will Davis

Because Will Davis is already the long time, Volunteer Assistant Coach.

C'mon, man. If you're going to Grammar Police, let's have the rest of it:
should of went...??
No, that's "should have GONE.
