Defense may be the Tigers Achilles heal. SEC Team Stats

Scoring offense - 3rd 77.7 pts/game (behind Ark & UK)
Scoring defense - 12th 71.3 pts/game
Free Throw % - 9th 67.0%
Field Goal % - 4th 45.3% (behind UK, MZ, FL)
Field Goal % Def. - 3rd 39.9%
3-Point Field Goal % - 7th 34.4%
3-Point Field Goal % Def. - 10th 34.5%
Rebounding Offense - 2nd (behind UK)
Rebounding Defense - 12th
Blocked Shots - 2nd (behind UK)
Assists - 2nd (behind Ark.)
Steals - 1st
Turnover Margin - 10th

It certainly MAY . It's a layup drill against most teams,some contested some laughably not.......

If the tigers did a better job of defensive rebounding, the points given up per game would drop. How are we so good at rebounding on the offensive end but not the defensive end?

Part of the reason is that our forwards are more focused on blocking the shot than blocking out.
