Driver Shafts, would the Fubuki shaft pictured below be a good option?

Good for what?

What are you trying to improve by switching and what do you currently have?

I currently have the R1 TP with the rip phenom 65g shaft stiff in it. Swing speed is round 100. I hit it high so I have the loft set at 9.

yesterday, i was reading about how the SLDR is weighted poorly and pros are struggling with the way it behaves

i'll wait for theBeard to chime in since he's almost a professional club fitter

i wouldn't buy a SLDR without trying it out first, preferably with the shaft you plan to purchase with it

if wanting to purchase a sldr i highly, highly recommend a professional fitting with an outdoor trackman. Is the R1 you have the TP model? If not then the phenom shaft you have is not the real thing it is a made for shaft meant to be cheap and cost efficient. So if not the TP model a new shaft could definitely help. The fubuki alpha shaft is a very good one. It is designed for mid launch / low spin.

he did say TP

isn't the non-TP model a different weight, like 60 vs. 65

yes it is. Would the shaft and head upgrade be worth the money?

I got fitted for the R1 btw.

I am under the impression that neither shaft is the real deal. Aldila doesn't make odd number weights
Aldila

I had heard this was the first ever made for tp shaft. (don't quote me)

Is there a great jump from the r1 to sldr? i doubt it. I think a new shaft would be a good alternative to a entire club

So the fubuki alpha would be a better shaft for my R1? Both are 65g.
