Ever taken a speed reading/memory course?

Don't know if they work or not but would love to increase how fast I read. A quick test said I was normal but would be awesome to read quicker and be able to keep the same understanding.

I did many years ago. Basically they are teaching you to scan sentences for key words which any person who reads a lot learns on their own. Anyone can learn to read faster by paying attention to the context and skipping over details that you aren't interesting in. You probably already do this reading posts on TD. However, when it comes to in depth reading of technical information, speed reading techniques are not very helpful from my perspective. Bottom line: skip over the unnecessary. You don't have to read prepositions, etc. to understand what is being conveyed. Focus on the subject, verbs and objects.
