Why does anyone start a thread here with "Liberals please tell me X"?

There are maybe five active liberal posters here on a board of, what, 30-40 active regulars posting overall, and a few dozen lurkers besides? No one can seriously think to themselves "Gee, I wonder what liberals think of X... better ask TigerDroppings's Poli Talk board" ... right?

The more liberal posters on here are often very candid. Due to the conservative nature of the south, people are often insulated from the view points of the other side of the aisle that don't belong to the media. Sometimes, getting opinions from the minority of posters on this board who identify with the democratic party, progressiveness, or general modern liberal philosophy can be very enlightening and educational...

Because it's fun to let Liberals hang themselves w/ their own "logic".
For instance: They are all for min wage laws, yet have absolutely no problem w/ unpaid internships.
How about another? They claim that having IDs to vote is a "burden", yet not a peep from these hypocrites when Obamacare forces EVERYONE to carry a health insurance ID card.
Hopefully, reality will one day trump rhetoric in the Liberal mind. People that ask "Liberals, why do you think..." are just doing their part to show the asshattery of Liberal "thought".

Why not go to DU or some other dem/liberal board and pose your question?
Posted on 2/10/14 at 10:26 pm to lsutothetop
honestly, the 4 or 5 true liberal posters contribute more academically intriguing information and viewpoints than about 50% of the conservative "rah, rah Merica this Merica that" people. they complete derail any thread where constructive debate can be had

I used to post on HP a lot. Since they went to the facebook sign in, I stopped.
I don't know if DU requires a FB sign in, but I've heard from people here that conservatives/libertarians get kicked out all the time....just for not agreeing w/ them.

Yeah, good luck with that. Rex of all people got banned there for being "too conservative". Says a lot about that place.

Because there wouldn't be 20 posters to pat them on the back for their stupid post every time.

That's like saying "If you want corn go pick it out of that pile of shite."
Besides, lib boards can't handle dissent, they'll just ban you.

So true. The liberals are the only salvation we have from all the knuckle dragging, mouth breathing, mentally challenged, bigoted conservatives that post here. We need more intelligent, thoughtful, reasonable and open minded people like you to point that out.
Huzzah for you.

I've been on poli boards at universities in the north. The majority of posters are conservative. And female posters are extremely rare. Women are a big junk of the Dem party and they don't like to engage in political arguments.

True. Democrats have done an excellent job playing on their emotions.
I talk to females often about conservative political causes. Most of them will look utterly confused and say "I don't really know..... ", or " My husband tells me ___________."
I respond with " yeah, I know ...it can be a bit much sometimes but did you know ..." and connect the boring political stuff to their everyday life.
When it's tied to something tangible like their household budget they get it. It's not so much about feel good solutions anymore.
Obamacare has been a gift for conservatives in a way. It has been so easy to explain how liberal solutions hurt them directly. Nothing else has had such a negative and far reaching impact.

Most of the questions are passive-aggressive attempts at making a point.

I am ambivalent about min wage law & definitely do not support unpaid internships, which are affirmative action for rich white kids.

First page. Didn't take you long.

Tigah, where's the movement among Liberals to stop unpaid internships? You will NEVER see it, because Liberal politicians and business owners use that free labor ALL THE TIME.
Admittedly, I was a little hyperbolic in giving the impression that I think all Liberals think alike 100% of the time, so I'll clarify. The vast majority of Liberals are for min wage laws and have no problem w/ unpaid internships..and the vast majority of Liberals are hypocrites about IDs.

Have I ever abused you, Tigah? If so, I'm very sorry. Here is a puppy pic for you:
