You may be right. But this incarnation of Gordon is supposed to be young as the story takes place when Bruce Wayne is still a teenager.

I believe I remember reading in an interview with the show's producers that Gotham will be a serial drama like Arrow and not a procedural like Agents of SHIELD.

This show kinda sounds like Batman Year One. Oddly enough, Ben McKenzie did Batman's voice in that one.

They start filming in March so probably in September/October or next spring.

Not to be a dick, but I'm so disinterested in this. Interesting idea, but at best it's a solid procedural with some fan service? I've got True Detective for my procedural spot in the lineup right now.

It's sort of like Smallville apparently. The pilot episode has Gordon as a homicide detective working the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne and it goes from there.
