Yeah when he was terrible no one liked him. Now that he's gotten better we'd like to keep him around.
It's not like if he has a bad game were calling for him to be traded. He really doesn't get enough minutes to have a bad game.
Are you comparing Roberts to Greivis?

When Rivers was playing badly last season most people didn't really have any confidence in him.
I'll retract what I said about people not liking him but there were people around here who were not fans of his.
Also, I do recall a lot of people not liking the pick when it was made.

yep. A few more assists and he'd be Gravy. Their defensive games are equally as pathetic. Roberts gets a +1 cause he has a better shot. GV +1 for size.

I always thought that Rivers had a good future. His talent is obvious, he just needed time to adjust to the NBA game. That's why the Holiday trade was odd. We had Vasquez for another season, so we could have played Rivers more minutes and he would have been the starter next season (we could have moved Vasquez then or just resigned him cheap as a back-up). It just leaves Rivers in limbo and we have no room to bring up a really good asset in Jackson. Just really bad planning..

Good point. But I don't think one season was long enough to judge him. They got rid of one guard (Vasquez), picked up 3 (Holiday, Evans and Morrow) and drafted another. How would Rivers ever get a chance to really grow after that? All they did was bury him down the depth chart, which hurt his growth and damaged his trade value.

Rivers isn't good. He's better than Roberts but that is about it.
