Looking to Get a Deck Installed; Quotes Vary Wildly

I'm looking to connect my sunroom and back yard with a deck, about 300sqft. I also want to add a sliding glass door to the sunroom.
First quote was $7k...I thought this was high so got another guy to come out...$13K.
Are they just trying to take advantage of me, or do people really pay this much? I was hoping for $3500-$5000 MAX.

Is the deck ground level? I'd get separate quotes for the door and deck.
