I'm about halfway through season 1 and I like the show but I have some issues with it (spoilers below)
There is absolutely no way that Joes ex wife wouldn't have any suspicions of the nanny and the neighbors. This woman had to be on high alert and no way the nanny and neighbors could've faked their roles well enough to earn her trust 100%
Joe has multiple talks about his plans with his allies within prison walls. No way someone who killed 14 women would be able to have these conversations with no one figuring out about them.
Also I just watched the episode where they had the farmhouse surrounded and then bam all the cops end up being part of Joes following. I hope this won't be a show where whenever the bad people have their backs against a wall, some good guys turn out to be bad just to get them out of it.
Still a good show but do these things bother anyone else?

Join the club. Literally, we started a club.
The Following Season 1 Official Thread
Start reading that from the beginning, stop when you get to where you stopped watching and then follow along as you finish. The show is better when you join with others to see the unintentional humor that comes with bad TV.

Nope. Myself and many others here were about to organize a march on Hollywood when the Following got zero Emmy nods.
Seriously though, if the real FBI were as horrendously inept as the Followings version, we'd not only have a 9/11 but 9/12, 13, 14, 15, and 16. Oh and in that world, getting stabbed in the heart means you now have Forrest Gump level running abilities.
There's two threads that you should probably visit once you get a little further in.

With each passing minute of each passing episode you will like it less and less.
It gets even more unbelievable and cheesy.

This almost never happens on the show.

This is literally the best way to "enjoy" the show

the wife and I made it about half way through the first season and quit watching. it just became comical how the bad guy was always 1 step ahead of everyone else.

Completely unrealistic, but I still watch.

This thread is unintentional comedy at its finest

He leads his own small cult of semi-competent FBI agents.

Naw man, The Bacon is a cult of one that doesn't adhere to mankind's crazy notions of what you can and can't do with a bad ticker.

I dvr'd the season and finally watched an episode last week. Wow. I instantly had to stop recording so I wouldn't give them ratings. These two guys killed their parents and were having dinner w/ them while trying to hold conversations w/ them. I truly feel dumber after watching it.

If you join in the season thread you can enjoy the show by mocking its glorious rediculousness.

I just spent 30 minutes reading that amazing Season 1 thread.
I binge watched this show on Netflix with my g/f recently and I swear it's like that 33-page recap thread captured my exact thoughts perfectly.
It was so bad that I couldn't stop, and in hindsight, it's hilarious.
