Watch Out for Obamacare's Subsidy Cliff: Earn $1 More in Wages, and You Could Pay $20,000 More for Insurance
So if this is true, please explain how this is fair? Liberals/Communist please? Wouldn't it make better since to have this cost spread out a little more without such an extreme jump in cost for a person?
Only thing worth doing now is REPEAL! Each and everyday the stories keep getting better, that is if they are true.

This isn't unique to healthcare. Many tax laws are structured the same way. Even some created by conservatives.

I've been trying to explain this for months. people won't get it until they have to write the check. Then they'll say "but nobody told us..."
It's a middle class KILLER.

I think don't there is anything as steep as this. Obviously this is an extreme case, and worth noting, but the cliff exists in all ranges.

Mostly just those damned conservatives using the cliffs though.

What tax laws are structured that way?
You move up a bracket, you paying the higher rate on the money in the new bracket. It's nowhere near one big chunk of money at once, at least not the federal tax structure.
Probably there are other giveaway programs like that though.

Look for the underground economy to grow proportionately. Working people will not just quit work. Many will just quit the work the government knows about.
Everyday in America money slides under the table in that economy and escapes our tax system.
As the underground economy grows, fewer people pay taxes and those that do bear an even greater burden.
