What the hell are "Jimmies"...and how does one "rustle" them???

I don't wear jimmies. So they can never be rustled.

My jimmies are neat today. I'm off work. No rustling to be had.

jimmies are those little psychological insecurities and triggers that you hold in delicate balance inside your psyche.

They become rustled when someone says or does something to disturb that delicate balance.

Using overt defensive techniques in communication is the only way to unrustle a rustled jimmie.

However, they often become re-rustled once it is pointed out that they were indeed rustled in the first place (usually through a trite message board meme).

You are looking for the etymology of said rustled jimmies.
