Tennessee loses to Vandy to fall to 5-4. That's after Ole Miss (6-3) and Missouri lost last night. Missouri is now 4-5. That Missouri@Ole Miss game is big on Saturday.

LSU needs to handle prosperity well and get a win tomorrow. It's been a really good week and a half.

Tomorrow's a must win. We can't have another bad loss.

Would love if we got a 12 seed and became part of the famed 12/5 upset special.

Tonight makes tomorrow even bigger. LSU has a legit chance at #2 in the league right now. Win tomorrow and you are 1 game behind UK who we beat at home. Noone besides Florida is stepping up. LSU still has a shot to be a top 2 or 3 team in this conference.

Got to keep winning, it's too early to be scoreboard watching. LSU controls to down destiny, so just focus on winning our own games.

Having said that, we sure have climbed the SEC standings in the last 8 days.

Do we get Ole Miss at home later this season?

Arkansas will be tough. But LSU plays well up there when we have a good team.

It's not really. February is the most important month. We're already halfway home in the SEC.

LSU still needs to do a lot of winning or the SEC is gonna be a 2 bid league.

Last night showed how difficult it is to get road wins in the SEC. IIRC, only Auburn won a road game (@ South Car.). LSU is NOT good enough to overlook anybody in the SEC. They've got to show up tonight with the same effort that they brought against UK and Ark. While a lot of people here like to say that this team is "young", the fact of the matter is that there is a LOT of experience in the 8 man rotation. Guys like Hickey, Stringer, JOB, should be able to handle success like veteran SEC players.

All that said, there are several teams fighting for the 3rd bid from the SEC. UT's unexpected loss last night puts LSU in the drivers seat to move into that 3rd spot.

(Note: Ole Miss feasted on a relatively weak early SEC schedule. Now that they're hitting the muscle of the SEC, I think they quickly fall back to the middle of the pack.)

yeah i dont think many people expect ole miss to stay up there. if they do more power to them, but nothing i see from them suggests they have the team to do it.

And I would not call Florida an autimatic loss either. They will have a lot of trouble against our zone.

Florida is probably the best team in the country. Their press will give LSU trouble. Also Ole Miss' remaining schedule is easier than LSU's. All their tough games are at home.

Ehhh... Florida is really, really, really good. And they don't lose at home. Ever. I'm obnoxiously optimistic about LSU sports and this team, but I'm pretty much chalking this one up as a loss.
