No signing day losses - Makes 1/2 all better - and more.

Plus the gets, the good flips/mild surprises all make it possible for me to give an A grade to the staff.
I won't dwell on the in-state prospects we lost - and difficult to bless off on a A+ with the in-state targets we lost to division rivals - having said that - a truly outstanding job in landing an outstanding class.
I would liked to have seen an OT and 1 more fast, athletic corner, but, overall - I like the breadth and depth of the class.
Something that many of us have discussed over the past few months is the solid character, and leadership potential, not in just a few, but in many, many of these recruits - the obvious being Brandon Harris and Ed Paris, but Washington, Garrett, Quinn, Brumfield, among others, all appear to have an above average strength of character and potential to be vocal leaders and/or leaders by example.
Great job on one of the best LSU recruiting classes in the modern era - after a bunch of "catastrophizing" a little over a month ago.

No almost to it man. Everything that has come out about the guys that spurned LSU on 1/2 has been negative. They may end up being great players but they all carry some baggage that we will be better off without IMO.
This class is unreal. The staff flipping the Texas boys was massive and bodes very well for the future as far as LSU being able to have a pipeline to Somoan players.
The staff really did work to close out this class and we should be very impressed and thrilled about the future of The Tigers!

Something is fishy with Tony Brown, particularly the track angle. His injury leaves him a question mark - I still would have liked him. GWIII is likely a JUCO for 1 to 2 years. Speedy is still a loss, though, IMHO. Even worse than a loss - he is an in-state kid, arguably the #1 player at his position, is now with a division rival and we have to face him 3 to 4 times.
However, I said I wasn't going to dwell on the negatives.
The players we did get are extremely impressive - again just the depth of players at positions of need - safety, WR and DL, particularly. I would have liked a 24th player (OT) and 25th (CB).
12 or 13 players in the top 10 to 15 at their position, including 8 or 9 who are arguably top 5. Players in the top 5 from 4 different states - and, actually TV makes some top 5 lists for Florida, so arguably 5 different states.
Really outstanding job despite getting roughed up (a little) at home.

I agree about having a few more linemen in the class, but overall a stellar class!
