The Tigers stand at 19 commitments, six spots short of the allotted 25. It's not just the numbers that make this week so intriguing for fans, though. The big-name prospects still in play put LSU in the national spotlight on Wednesday for National Signing Day and add to the excitement.

Sione Teuhema is the speed-rushing type of defensive end the staff has been searching for. At 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, he has the length to add a considerable amount of mass to. There is little doubt that the two are a package deal so winning over Sione would likely result in Maea following. The Tigers feel like they have a real shot and it would be a huge coup if they can pull this one off at this stage of the process. The relationship the players have built with Les Miles and tight ends coach Steve Ensminger could go a long way in securing signatures.
quote:

After taking an unofficial visit to UCLA and USC over the weekend, Jackson's family called LSU to share the news of their travel to the local programs to help eliminate any extra bit of doubt in the Tigers' minds of what the trip could mean. That is evidence of a level of respect needed to win a family over and it shows the Tigers that they are still very much in the race. The Tigers had a very good in-home visit with Jackson last week and they would love to land the elite prospect.

Best part of this article for me is the piece on Kelly that Jimmy still thinks he is LSU bound and so do his sources. And dont give me the 1/2 crap...no one had any idea on that day and went with their gut.
