Well that stat would settle it if we also had the stats of the scoring defenses in the Super Bowl

They scored 510 points in 2009...don't make the top 12 scoring-wise (of all-time).

I got that...that's not the point of the OP. Of the top-12 scoring offenses of all-time (total points), only the 1999 Rams won the Super Bowl.
