Offense is hot but defense will never go out of style.

Earlier stat was this is 5th time #1 offense faced #1 defense in SB. Defense won 3/4, now 4/5.

This is the 5th time the #1 O has faced the #1 D in the Super Bowl.

D is 4-1

Eta: beat me to it

And St Louis didn't put up many points. Warner threw for a ton, though.

It happens all the time in the BCSNCG where the great defense takes down the great offense. LSU/OU, Florida/OU, Florida/OSU

Which super bowl did the #1 offense win over the #1 D?

People think offense runs the league now, but the superbowl stats don't back it up.

This game should be a wakeup call for all GMs around the league.

Defense wins championships
