This story is just pure shite:

"To Stay In East Rutherford, New Jersey Tonight, You Need Around $3,000"

"Lodging near the stadium in East Rutherford, NJ is sparse and what’s left is exorbitantly priced. This town home in nearby Secaucus would run you $3,000 for the night."

In reality, a quick search at Priceline shows that you can get a room at an Extended Stay for a mere $88.00 tonight.

fricking hacks.

Right?

It's like the author saw the place listed for a crazy high price, then just decided to shite on doing any research and write a piece about how ALL lodging in the area is ridiculous.

I don't get it...

Exaggeration generates hits. Pick a random angle and make it sound excessive or outrageous. Get paid.

These too bizarre to be true stories usually are. Internet message boards and social media have truly exposed the mainstream media.

Social media and message board do tons more to propagate rumors and what you call the mainstream media is usually best at breaking those down to what is true and what is crap. Buy a newspaper if you want good information.
