Thoughts on this possible claim to LSU's '58 championship?

Even though they where 9-0 the final. The AP polls had them at #4 and us(LSU)at #1 they didn't even make it to the Sugar bowl.
This is a joke why claim a championship if your not the team that is even the SEC Conference Champs.
Give me a break AUBURN!!!
