Who Presently Will Music History Look Upon Favorably?

I DVRed and watched some of the Grammys. Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder performed and they are obviously a couple of the greats.
My question is ....is there anyone presently that say....in 30 years.....people would get excited to see perform at the Grammys or something like that? Say, "DAMN THAT'S SO AND SO!"
I feel like music in general is in a sorry state of affairs.

This is tough, simply because I don't want to be right on some of them.
Honest answer? I think John Mayer might be one of them. Pearl Jam

Green Day maybe?
I don't think people even want to see Green Day now, let alone 20 years from now

Haha he did sing with Miranda Lambert this year though.
I would allow it if I could pick the song.

The Disco Biscuits will likely have a lasting and indelible impact on how future generations view the music of our age

No one at the Grammys. But people don't look back on previous winners and go, "Wow! Toto!" It's not new for the Grammys to reward the lamest, blandest music out there. Not always bad, but their track record of picking out young talent is pretty poor.
But someone like Kanye's legacy is already secure.
