Roads closed to New Orleans

If you are trying to get to New Orleans from the Northshore, there is only one route- HWY 51 which is an old 2 way road. It is packed at this moment. The I-10 Bonnet Carre Spillway is closed from Laplace to Metairie, I-55 from Hammond to Laplace is closed, the Causeway from Mandeville to Metairie is closed and I-10 Twin Span from Slidell to New Orleans is closed. The alternate route Hwy 11 has a traffic accident that has caused major backups.
