Yankees just wanted to ensure that their players could afford the best tee times in October

a front line starter. ...and bullpen help.

The bullpen blew 28-30 games last year. You cut those in half, you're looking at less than 100 losses in the 2nd year of the rebuild.

With that said, they still fricking sucked and needed to spend what they could on who they could.

And I thought the Cubs had a TON of money to spend. The season hasn't even started and I'm already let down.
Oh that's right we signed Edwin freaking Jackson to a 52 million dollar contract

Terrible signings with Ellsbury, McCann, and Beltran. All in their prime or not far from leaving their prime.

Tanaka was the only decent one.

you can't count. this rebuild is 4 years old now. sure, the new owner is in year 2 but the rebuild started before he came as the old owner liquidated the club the sell it. the liquidation included acquiring minor leagueers and was exactly the same thing crane has done.

because of complete incompetence, the astros now have a good minor league system. a blind and dumb man could have done what has been done so far. we'll see if the liquidation and last place finishes will produce a good club and we'll see for how long. it's possible it will work but if they continue to purge their best players when contract time is due this club is no better off.

You two can keep beating that ridiculous drum like the rest of the other Houston fans that don't have a clue but will jump back on that bandwagon when they start winning again.
